What do those words mean? Well, we gather together because we think that’s what God wants for us—to be a community. More than a community, we are like a big family who take care of each other and work hard to love and care for the world around us. And, like Jesus, we try to love and welcome everyone — regardless of who they are or where they come from!

What's Happening at Trinity?
Trinity this week – November 16, 2025
Greetings Trinity Friends,
This Sunday our worship service will be shortened slightly in order to accommodate a Faith Forward Congregational Meeting that will take place in the sanctuary right after the service. We hope you will stay to hear about the building options that we will be voting on! If you are not able to attend, it will be available on our YouTube channel.
The Christian Education Committee is hosting a hotdog lunch after church this Sunday. Plan to stay afterwards to enjoy front row seating for the Santa Claus Parade (which passes right past our Ferguson doors). Bring a chair and dress warmly! Hot chocolate will be provided.
NEXT SUNDAY our “Fifth Sunday” service is at Emmanuel United Church on Sunday November 23rd, at 11:00am. Please note the date and time! Trinity will be closed that Sunday so we can worship with our United Church neighbours.
Upcoming Events and Announcements
Trinity’s Annual Cookie Walk takes place on Saturday November 29th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Delicious holiday treats sold by the container – come early to have the best selection! In order to make this a fundraiser successful, we need your help. We need you to bake, and consider asking friends and family to help bake and donate too. There will be a festive box labeled Cookie Walk in the Narthex next week where cookie tins can be dropped off. Thank you on behalf of the Cookie Team
RAPPORT CHRISTMAS CONCERTS- Saturday Nov. 29th at Powassan United Church at 2pm, and Sun. Nov. 30th,at 1:30 pm, here at Trinity. Tickets $20 at the door, or at the Trinity Church office.
THE BARREL BOYS’ BLUEGRASS CHRISTMAS SHOW returns to North Bay, Wednesday, December 3rd, 7:30 Tickets: $25 in advance (please reserve through the Trinity office) or $30 door, Students $20, Children under 13 $10 available at www.thebarrelboys.com/shows
Trinity’s Christmas Bag Outreach
Each year Trinity’s youth group collects items for the Christmas Bag Outreach Project. We provide over 150 Christmas gifts to teens and adults in our community! If you would like to contribute to this outreach program please bring in your donations to Trinity on White Gift Sunday (December 7th) or anytime before Friday Dec. 12th. Items, money and Christmas bags are always appreciated! See the full list of needed items outside the office or in the fellowship hall or speak with Lisa for more information.

Trinity Groups
Groups for Youth & Kids
Trinity Youth Group
Trinity youth, and occasionally youth from other area churches, meet throughout the year. We participate in a variety of fun activities with a goal towards building a community of faith and friendship. We hold a yearly Prayer Vigil, organize a major Christmas Bag Outreach, participate in the occasional bible study, attend wider Church events such as Worshiplude, the Niagara Youth Festival and Rendezvous, enjoy local events such as Escape Rooms, Nature Hikes, Games Nights and more!
Sunday School
Our Sunday School is dynamic and fun. You may find us in the kitchen cooking, in the gym playing games, in the fellowship hall doing crafts and more! We use a rotational model of Sunday school where children engage the bible story through crafts, cooking, games, discovery, music, drama and more! All children are welcome!
We also have a nursery for pre-school aged children which is supervised by a paid caregiver.
Nursery
Children from birth to age 3 are cared for by a paid caregiver. Our nursery is a cozy, safe and fun place for children to spend time in while their parents, grandparents or caregivers attend worship service. Our caregivers must pass a vulnerable sector criminal record screening.
Mustard Seed Theatre Group
Mustard Seed Theatre sprang from the idea that important things can grow from tiny actions. In the parable of the mustard seed, Jesus compares the tiny seed to the Kingdom of Heaven, revealing that the smallest of seeds sprout into a great plant that provides shelter for living creatures (Mark 4:31-32). Mustard Seed was created in 2007 to provide opportunities for youth to build community around a common love of theatre.
Trinity Families
We are a group of Trinity people committed to having fun with and without our kids. We get together for outings in the North Bay area, and sometimes we get sitters and stay up late doing things that would bore the kids.
We participate in a yearly winter retreat on Family Day weekend, host a friendly Chili Cook-off and Music Night, set up special VIP seating for the Santa Claus Parade, hold a outdoor movie night, a Hallowe’en party, games nights and more!
Infant Food Shelf
Trinity United Church holds an Infant Food Bank for families with infants up to 12 months of age each Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon. ID required.
Items that are available are:
Diapers, Baby Food, Wipes, Gift cards for formula, and other baby supplies as available.
